THE SPRINGS OF RELIEF FOUNDATION AND THE EXCITING PROJECTS IN KENYA

The Springs Of Relief Foundation began in the early 90’s under the name “Jesus Evangelistic Team Project”, majoring on evangelistic outreaches and Youth Self-help Groups. As we became more and more involved in community based services and activities, we felt the need to separate the Church (the Global Gospel Fellowship) from the community based programs, and that Organization became the Springs Of Relief Foundation.
Over the years, most of the work consisted of small amounts of relief food supplies to widows and orphans in the region coupled with a few scholarships and some educational assistance to orphans. Then the most thriving, shining, miracle projects began in October of 2018 when a friend, Bonnie Sult, introduced the Director, Peter Kelly, to Mark and Julie of Jubilee Ministry-USA. They sat around a table and talked for a couple of hours. Towards the end of the conversation, Mark had a desire to give something to the Director, so he gave him a coin that he carried in his pocket to remind him of God’s love and provision. So it began!

SPRINGS OF RELIEF FOUNDATION

Masara • Nyamome • Migori • Kenya

Over the next year, a little here and there, the Springs Of Relief Foundation started receiving funding from Jubilee Ministry for various needs and projects. With the  financial assistance from “the Team”, SoR began extending and expanding our efforts in ministering to widows, orphans, and the disadvantaged. Then, as God provided the financial resources, we began taking on projects of “good works”, rehabilitating our community and fulfilling the desire that we had developed towards transforming and improving our community.

Springs of Relief Project tour 2021

Peter Kelly put together a documentary, taking you on a tour by video from the intersection of the A1 Hwy & the Muhuru Bay Rd, south of Migori Town in Suna, proceeding west, with a stop at Nyamome, then on to the Masara Shopping Center. Then a turn northwest up the Karungu Bay Rd to check out where the electrical lines have now been connected, then across to the little church that his mother founded and pastored until her passing in 2019. From there you’ll go over to the compound at Masara, to see the borehole, the tower, tanks, and solar panels, Peter’s home, and the location of The Masara Academy and the SoR office. It’s a long ride (48 minutes), but an interesting journey. It’s wonderful to experience the countryside with your own eyes! Very cool! Thank you Peter!
